Mykonos features 23 beautiful beaches accessible by car. They are all popular for their golden sand and crystal clear turquoise waters. Beaches like Paradise, Super Paradise, Platis Gialos, Psarou and Ornos are the beaches located on the south side of the island and are the most crowded in high season. The beaches of Paradise and Super Paradise are also known for their summer beach parties. They are also organized with many tourist facilities, from seaside accommodation to beach bars, restaurants and water sports centers. Popular Beaches
Super Paradise: Famous as one of the very best party beaches in Greece, it combines daytime entertainment and a vibrant night life.
Psarrou: This idyllic paradise attracts celebrities from all over the world with its incredibly soft sand and the perfectly clear waters, ideal for scuba diving.
Megali Ammos: As the closest beach from Mykonos town, it is visited by thousands of visitors every summer. It's perfect for sunbathing and it's runners' top choice.
Ornos: Located in a beautiful bay, with many hotels and tourist facilities, it features a diving school and many windsurfing excursions that make it a popular destination for water sports.
Paraga: With this sandy paradise, you get two beaches in one! On the southern side you can sunbath, relax and enjoy the sun, and on the northern beach, you can enjoy the live music and big variety of traditional taverns with tasty delicacies.
Platis Gialos: Known as one of the cleanest and best organized beaches in Mykonos, Platis Gialos offers features astonishing turquoise waters and plenty of of local restaurants.
Elia: Separated from Agrari beach by high rocks, Elia is a very popular beach among the party lovers.
Kalo Livadi: This fully-organized beach offers exotic waters, sandy beach and colorful umbrellas. It's one of the longest beaches on the island and it is popular for the its beach parties and events.
Secluded Beaches
Glyfadi: This small beach on the southwestern side of Mykonos is mostly sandy, and it is known as one of the most family-friendly beaches on the island.
Lia: One of the most secluded beaches on Mykonos, Lia is a great place for sunbathing or reading your favorite book.
Meanwhile, its rocky beach makes it ideal for adventure lovers.
St. Anna: This calm, sandy paradise is less a less famous tourist attraction, making it a favorite place to be for the local Mykonians.
St. Ioannis: Located in a remote region on the southwest coast of Mykonos, St. Ioannis is calm, peaceful and a great beach for rest and relaxation.
St. Sostis: This beach is known as one of the most secluded beaches on the island. Visit it only if you are looking for a place to enjoy the sun and relax.
St. Stefanos: This small cove, on the north of Mykonos town, is less popular to tourists, meaning that its soft sand and crystal clear waters remain relatively peaceful all year.
Agrari: Soft sand, crystal clean waters and... clothes off as this beach is a popular spot for nude sunbathing.
Fokos: This secluded beach is far from the touristic parts of the island, making it a favorite spot for those who wish to get away from the hustle and bustle.
Divounia: This small, secluded cove is known for its deep-blue waters and the amazing seafood restaurants.
History lovers must know that in the past, Divounia, was an ancient Roman trading post.
Houlakia: This remote beach north of Mykonos Town is highly pebbled, as well as highly private.
Secluded from the island's touristic spots, Houlakia offers total isolation and privacy.
Kapari: One of the few unorganized beaches in Mykonos, Kapari is a great place to enjoy the beauty of nature.
